Evžen Hofmann
Instrumentalist, improviser and member of the popular Czech band Kryštof, with whom he has played several thousand shows and recorded eight studio albums. He won the Anděl award for Song of the Year 2008 – Atentát – and co-wrote songs including Cosmos Shop, Molotov, Ve scénářích, Stár, Lampión and more. Alongside Kryštof, he pursues his own music, releasing two original instrumental guitar albums that cross into classical, Latin and dance music. With these albums he has held several sold-out recitals at the Ostrava Planetarium. In the BURYSAX project he offers melodic improvisation, which he loves to combine with well-known musical motifs by modern bands such as Imagine Dragons, Coldplay and U2. He doesn’t shy away from famous film themes either, such as Pirates of the Caribbean or the iconic Misirlou from Pulp Fiction. His performances feature a rock-inspired visual image combined with an engaging stage show. His credo: create performances that captivate and entertain.
