How the night went

From sunset to the last track

During the festival, Karlovy Vary turns into one big film town for a few days, and Hotel Thermal is at its heart. It was here, at the Pool Bar on the terraces above the spa valley, that Accolade held its festival party on 8 July 2022.

Václav Brom took over the DJ booth, with saxophonist DeeSaxx beside him. Václav built his set from house and well-known hits, while DeeSaxx took his instrument out among the guests. The saxophone was heard not just from the stage, but by the tables, at the bar and in the middle of the dance floor.

As darkness fell, the lights came on above the Pool Bar and the festival reception turned into a club night.

A festival party has its own rules. Guests arrive gradually, so the music starts more gently and only then picks up the pace. A saxophonist at KVIFF also can't just stand by the decks, because people move between the bar, the terrace and the dance floor. That is why DeeSaxx played wherever the guests were having fun.
